Went to start game this morning, after initial splash screen, straight black screen. Figured I would go to the installer mentioned on Pg 1 and reinstall the game. It starts the install and then ask for a CD lol. I think maybe at this point with the afk and no movement glitches, and now this, I will uninstall totally and wait for an update.

Until the no movement glitch is fixed, and the afk glitch, this is a moot point.

You wish. I've been AFK'd 10 times this morning with strong green ping. Uninstalling and reinstalling X3 seems a little extreme to me. Even for a beta

Thanks for clearing this up. Most of us know the NA server was having issues. It does seem better tonight, no slow roller coaster lags. Almost a slow wave like surging before. I even rolled back display drivers thinking it might be me. Optimized SSD, cleaned drive.

Why assume it's him? I get drops off and on also. And I don't have connection issues, Cox Cable hardwired at 50megs down. How about you tell us what the server hosting is like? What tier and speed. History of hosting company. Type of hard drives? Oh my ping is solid green, right up until the server stops responding.

Ok DL'd OBS, and it spits some encoding errors when I hit record. Not in the mood to massage it to get it to work. Tried ShadowPlay, but game doesn't show as an approved game?!? But it saw my steam games. Haven't tried Relive yet. Went back to BandiCam and tried using screen mode instead of game mode in 360P YT version. Still I'll keep messing around with this to get something to work without lagging screen or having a 1.3gig file lol. BandiCam 360 YT screen mode gave me around 300 megs, not too bad.

I usually use Bandicam to record with, but after playing with it yesterday, changing res and frame rates, I don't think it will work smoothly with this game. What are you guys using?

Bawahaaa one of last rds last night, some chick using hyper sprint to skate thru the map (literally) killing like mad. Oddly enough I watched a YT video of this being done made back in Nov of 2017 during a beta yesterday. So YES, It IS happening. I remember her name and will be reporting this morning.

Haha changed soft step to faster earlier. Man I was circling the map, flanking and killing from the rear lol.

If the game doesn't file check every restart, which it doesn't, there is no way to know if the game registry has been altered. Reg hacks were a favorite in GitS, as well as a number of other games. Oh and "lag and glitch" were used extensively on that game to cover problems with hackers. The game is awesome imo. Graphics are great, gameplay smooth, except for occasional hiccups. I was pleased to see a player (teammate) kicked yesterday, not sure why, but that shows something is watching.

Then the in game reporting system needs to be changed. I reported a guy in game, caught on best kills replay after rd end, plainly ghosting thru walls and shooting people. ie wall hack. I went to do in game report, all it says is "report using external software"?!? This was plain as day and very blatant. Saying people need to report doesn't help, if no link to do so is present.

Floyds link should be stickied. It's pretty plain we're at the GitS scenario. Begging developers to initiate a better anticheat. Instead they depended on players to police the game. That's why that game died, new players wouldn't stay when so many were cheating, and their sure not going to report a lvl 30 player. Combat Arms same way, so many hackers. One day I just closed it and never reopened it again. Take a lesson from Nexom.

Good points. I had already thought of the kicking in faster, instead of feather. Watched a player decimate us, by racing thru and killing quickly.

Yeah, game froze up once on me last evening. ALL gameplay stopped, like it dropped me. Then just a little bit ago, same thing. Having to tic Match several times to start a round. No it's not me, have a solid 50mbs dl speed. NA server, various maps.

This has happened a number of times since the OP. Indeed, tapping alt/tab seems to help. Not always though. Sometimes takes around 5 seconds to initiate movement.

Thanks, yeah I couldn't break out, Tried everything. Ended up hard rebooting laptop. Here's a screenshot of the script error on startup. Upon reinstall, it locked up again. I hit alt/crt/ delete to go to task manager and bam it started working. It seems to be playing fine on the tut I did. all mapping seems to be working properly.

I just installed the newest Beta version and went to do tutorial and pow, no movement, no weapons changing, can't even look around (no mouse). I went to options and none of the keyboard keys are bound to any action. While I'm messing with binding each key, just to try to get "something", I'm watching a popup jump out on the lower right over and over, telling me every item I had, is being sold off for 0? I have uninstalled the game, and am reDLing, again, after reboot, now DLing................4mb/s..........2.75mb/s.......wow this isn't starting off very well. On game start, getting Google script error?!? It reinstalls DX9... and then wants to repair it? Tried to send error report, that failed as well.

the " head glitching " is an annoyance that can be fixed but proably wont be.

and not many people use cover in this game. its funny. alot of people just run around out in the open like " haha i wont die " if there was a " cover " button like in some games that would be kind of nice.

Yup I agree. I was killed behind obstacles I knew I could not be seen by someone out on map. And I had been hidden for several seconds, completely hidden, so it wasn't net lag. I wondered if they were considered penetration kills. I could see crates being porous , but not concrete bases (emp rd). Not really a gripe, but people need to be aware, there is very little protection assured, out on the map, unless you have tested an obstacle.

While I realize the game is new, I noticed short of a direct hit with the rocket, it does very little damage. It feels like the radius is rather small on point of impact to me. I kind of expected "more"? But after getting hit direct impact with this hand cannon, I can vouch that it does kill lol.

No prob guys. I noticed during a match I typed in brutal kill and "brutal" was censored.

Ok I got past that screen. It's a "generic" call sign, I just put in Bravo1 and it went on past that. I assume it will be active in the session only?

I just assumed my login name would be my ingame name? Not sure what I need to do here..

Eta this is the the first time starting up the game

When I start the game, I log in with my user name, game loads up and then this screen pops up. I have no clue what it is? Any clues or am I being dense? lol. Thanks beforehand
