Secure area.
Sadly you cant really change alot regarding this game mode..
but i would love to see static spawns for sure.
Spawning next to the point is suck a terrible design, and should seriosuly not be a thing
only way to fix this is basically making static spawns and give a spawn protection bonus so spawncamping isnt gonna be a thing etc
reduce damage by 50% after immortal effect expired inside "spawn area" or something
Honestly most of the maps in this game are god awful for Secure Point. I think it has to do with more with that the gamemode itself flawed beyond belief and just irredeemably terrible. The gamemode shows its biggest flaws when you play on asymmetric maps like Outpost and Mart where one spawn is immediately right next to the point while the other spawns are very far away.

As the title says it would be nice if the game gave out rewards for playing the objective. I'm sure a lot of other players had that dreaded feeling, when your team is solely playing for kills and blatantly disregards the objective. I've had my fair share of games where I have teammates that stand just right next to the point instead of moving a few inching onto the it in Secure Point and Front Line; I've played dozens of S&D games where players pick up the bomb and don't plant once they reach the site; And I've seen players just pass by resources in Resource Takeover. It gets pretty frustrating after a while especially when you have to complete a certain objective-based game mode for your daily mission. Ironsight's current reward system only rewards players based on playtime rather than performance (the longer you're in a game the more XP and Gold you get). So to fix this issue I think it would be nice to see that Ironsight rewards players for both playtime and performance, and that performance gives players the most XP and Gold.

I actually quite like the AN-94 and my suggested play style for the weapon isn't really a traditional AR style. The weapon has very good accuracy and little recoil. Most ARs have a lot of recoil at long-ish ranges and are hard to control over 30 meters. I like to use the AN-94 as more of an auto sniper by equipping it with a rifle scope and precision barrel. Then once I get myself into a match I play passively, positioning myself in a windowsill or prone in a corner far away from the front lines. I typically get 1 or 2 kills then move to another area. I find myself winning most AR, SMG, DMR, and some sniper gunfights with this play style.

Hello there,
Thats quite a weird thing. I'll forward this internally.
I don't see the same alert anymore. If they figured it out already that's some pretty good customer support.
If you are trying to access the same forum (ironsight), why is it that the IP addresses it is refering are different? It that normal?
I think that an external software is trying to pharm you. Consider running another anti-malware and check if you get the same results.
It's the IP address form the site trying to connect to me. Not the actual forum IP. Also the 2 websites in particular I've only ever seen on the Ironsight Forums.
-
For a week or two now I've been getting an alert from my anti-malware whenever I go on the forums saying it blocked a site (top screencap) saying it was blocked due to spam. However this morning it's now been giving me that alert plus and alert telling me it blocked a website due to malware (the bottom screencap.) Does anyone have any answers?

Afaik, the way in which micro-transactions are dealt with is handled by the publisher and not developer. Almost certain Aeria have the say in this area of the game.
Yeah but one of the mods said they would forward this to the devs.

In response that the crates are "gambling"
gam·ble
ˈɡambəl/
1. play games of chance for money; bet. "she was fond of gambling on cards and horses"
verb
gerund or present participle: gamblingTo actually have gambling there has to be some monetary reward. Without the ability to trade the items we get out of the crates there's no reason to call it gambling. Yes you're putting a bit of money on the line in hopes of getting a skin. But again I restate that there's no gain, or loss to buying crates in a legal sense. We all know what we can get, and we can also use context clues to figure out the various rarities based just upon from opening crates in the past, along with looking at the designs in the "View Contents" section. Honestly, use your brains.
Any questions?
gam·ble
ˈɡambəl/
verb2. take risky action in the hope of a desired result.
"the British could only gamble that something would turn up"
People spend their money with only a very small chance of getting their desired result. Yes, the game tells players what each crate may contain but that's nothing out of the ordinary. You know what people are saying when they say "you don't know what you're gonna get." The developers have purposely hidden the chances to make players feel like just opening 1 more crate will get you the thing you want. Also Belgium isn't the only country that is taking a stance against lootboxes, Finland has too and there's been activism in the US too. I also don't understand why you mentioned Belgium's political flaws that have nothing to do with microtransactions. I'm saying that the payment model is really scummy and isn't sustainable. Also just because some other games have gambling doesn't make it okay for another one too.
Just for clarification to anyone who believes anything they read on the internet, there has been no such statement made from the developers and this is just an assumption.
Developers never said anything like that. Please stick to the facts if you discuss about things like that. Assumptions will just cause confusion.
I'd like to apologize for not saying that statement about how there is no future plans to add weapons that can be bought directly with Gold was just speculation and I have marked that statement in the post. Also have the devs given any statement about microtransactions?
-
I'mmm baaaack
I wouldn't call them scamboxes, it's currently the only way that they are able to finance this game. Loot boxes are a menace in games that you're already dropped 40$-60$ on. But in a free to play model it's a good way to make a bit of income. a third of the boxes are obtainable through free in-game currencies. It's not a scam because there's a disclaimer whenever you click on a box, and it lists everything you can get.
I'd love to buy a few of the community crates but at the moment I'm in a rough spot financially.
They are scamboxes though. The player does know what is possible to get because it's clearly stated but, most games with chance-based loot boxes always say what they contain, with the most valued items being at the top of the list with bright, shiny letters. But the game doesn't once state what the odds are of getting certain items are and doesn't make logs of what other players unbox public making a player completely blind on what they're truly spending their money on. Also The countries that lootboxes are not illegal in already, they're borderline illegal. With the EU's current crackdown on what is essentially gambling, the model doesn't seem very sustainable. Even in the US the only thing keeping lawmakers away from lootboxes is the ESA which is starting to show cracks already. Yes, we understand most of the weapons that the crates have can be obtained easily and freely through normal gameplay, (SPECULATION however the devs have no future plans to add anymore skins that can be bought with Gold) and are only adding in the $25 weapon skins which will soon outnumber the amount of freely obtainable skins. You yourself said you were in a rough patch and couldn't afford community crates and I don't think you're alone considering this is a F2P game. Most people in this thread, myself included, have already said we would like the support the game through fair microtransactions. Throughout the thread we've already discussed proven ways for the game to make money and if you think they're not sustainable I'd like you to please respond to them.
-
It would be nice to get a map dedicated to that. And maybe 24 players?
-
I think you're talking about the match highlight. When the game records a highlight it doesn't record a video but instead records a demo of what happened. In short demos are live playbacks of each button pressed on each frame. (that's why on some highlights you may see people killing invisible enemies because clientside the player saw them there but they weren't there serverside or at least when the server recorded the demo) Thus if you toggle the scoreboard on you see you have less kills, assists, deaths, etc. and so do your teammates because the game is acting like you were at the part of the game when the demo was recorded. Don't worry though as all the stats you acquired in the full game will count. Also sentinels killed in Resource Takeover don't count as kills in your record.

The game is F2P along with being in a beta, there's still many things that need to be worked out. To complain about cosmetics is to be completely unaware how games like this try to make money. There's two different strategies that seem to be most popular:
Little Bits - These games play on the aspect that people will be spending a small amount of money frequently (think spending 2$ every week or biweekly). This is more dependent on most of the community spending a little bit frequently.
Whaling - This is what Ironsight does, it holds out for the big cats who will drop 20$ minimum on the game for the various cosmetic items (think of the sexy girl skins and how much they cost). All the cosmetics are good quality, and all can combo to make a decent loadout. All the flashy skins with the bright colors are bought with chips or can be opened out of the loot boxes.
Honestly be thankful that this game isn't P2W, cause a game of this quality could easily become a P2P game.
radarridr already made most of my points so I'm only gonna talk about a few. First, spending $2 weekly is technically a whale as it adds up to $104.29 annually and even biweekly it would still be $52.15 annually. Second, companies that depend on whales can be humbly successful in the Western market however, they lose out on a lot of potential customers. You brought up CS:GO as an example and I think it's a great model for a F2P. There's millionaires in Saudis that spend thousands monthly and Poles that would at the most spend $40 a year. It's a mix between both models. CS:GO does this by tiered skins and while many object to this I personally don't when it's not in loot boxes. The only reasonably obtainable skins are the low tier and gold skins. It would be nice to see a few $5-10 skins, than $25, than $50, etc.
-
It would be nice if they added an AK-47 variant without the side mount. Personally, most attachments to the classic AK-47 make it look extremely ugly.
-
I don't know but I don't play Warframe. You don't have to buy the lootboxes. If you do and you're complaining about it, that's your problem, not the developer's.
It is the developer's problem if they want to make money and this many people are saying they won't financially support the game. We know the devs want to make money that's why we're trying to suggest pricing adjust and ways to get more people to purchase items. If we hated microtransactions most of us would have stayed/bought Black Ops 2.

Yeah. If the mods can forward this to the product manager so they can respond that would be nice.

Snipers are normally one shot kills (or the two that are most viable.) So in the first place they're based on making pics. I don't see what's wrong with a slight nerf to ADS on snipers, and a movement debuff seems to be the norm in games with snipers. Another idea I had was to increase the time between shots that snipers can abuse, this would help promote a smarter playstyle (which would mean a more of a pick oriented playstyle). I don't see how this is unhealthy for the current state of the game in the long run. Think of snipers as one would think of the AWP in CS:GO, can be offensive when the time calls for it, but normally looking for picks passively.
To the point of "this game ins't like TF2 or Paladins" you're correct. But I come from those games so I can (and will) offer a different view than the normal players that have come from other arcade shooters.
Again you haven't proposed another solution at all.I just said nerfing the scoping time and movement speed would definitely work and to compare an arcade shooter to a class-based MOBA is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. If you want some new solutions I'd suggest not allowing snipers to switch weapons or increase the time it takes to switch weapons while bolting, increasing reload time, and not being able to see the minimap while scoped in.
-
Yeah but the game is an arena style twitch shooter, adding in mechanics that would force players to take more time to get the same outcome and punish players that have a better reaction time would be defeating the purpose of the genre.
You were complaining about having snipers starting to be super overpowered, so I propose a solution. So instead of complaining you should propose a different solution.
No, they're both real issues and you only responded to one. You mentioned that you wanted snipers to become more of a "pick class" this game ins't like TF2 or Paladins there's mostly mid-range sniping so doing more than nerfing the movement speed and scoping time would defeat the purpose of using a sniper.
-
Just thinking on the heels of the whole "Loot box ban" in Belgium, what would be nice is if at least we see the odds of the boxes. Yes, I know that we are talking about the cost of microtransactions, but as a certain AI has said in a certain FPS game, "I'd like more intel with my intel". Telling me what I can get isn't enough, I want to know odds and statistics b4 I buy the box.
And with the skins, I feel that if they were cheaper, then people would definitely be more incentivized to buy more, esp. w/ the current system as described above. However, this is problem under Aeria games control, not Wiple, so we may not be able to see any resolution to this.
It would be really nice to see the odds of different skins.
-
I feel as though a blanket nerf to hipfire would work, but we would need to see other adjustments. For example, you said that Quick Scoping snipers would become the new meta, or become more prevalent. Then I propose that we nerf the ADS time of snipers a bit, and then if you really want a decent ADS time one would need to use the perk.
Yeah but the game is an arena style twitch shooter, adding in mechanics that would force players to take more time to get the same outcome and punish players that have a better reaction time would be defeating the purpose of the genre.

Future Islands
Sabaton
Indie/Doujin
I'll finish this list later.
-
STG-44
Mateba 2006
MP 18
MP 40
Also I'm seconding the Thompson idea.
-
It would also be nice if we had a way to try different weapons and skins. Hint hint mods.
-
Here's a few nerfs I thought of that shouldn't all be applied, but one or a few should be.
-Spread increases as gun is fired continuously (more than the other guns)-MUCH less overall effectiveness at mid to long ranges
-Longer reload time
-5 shots to kill
Also having a blanket nerf on hipfire is an awful idea having to ads every time you see someone in distances shorter than 10 meters would just break up the action and give quick scoping snipers an easier job.

There's this misconception going around that states that because a game is f2p, high prices on microtransactions are justified; the game is supposed to make money that way.
The most successful f2p game that comes to mind and that I also play is warframe. It has player made skins and accesories that cost 6$ and inhouse premium cosmetic packs that cost around 35$. And these are not simply paintjobs that modify a color scheme or add a decal, they are actual visual modifications to your base character/weapon etc, and in the case of the accesories, you can use them in all your warframes in any combination you desire.
Translated to this game it would be like having weapon cosmetic accesories that you can apply to any gun in the game and weapon skins that not only change the base color but also modify the gun model, and some of them made by the community itself.
Warframe has been going since 2013 and doesn't seem to be fading away anytime soon. I wonder if this game with its current price model will get anywhere near that. I really don't think having a high price tag on the content you're supposedly using to support your game while at the same time having a small player base and limited exposure is good for the game bussiness.I honestly feel the same. The western F2P scene and the eastern are extremely different in the way they do microtransactions. The east usually likes more pay to win games with items that cost quite a bit so they can use those as status symbols. The western scene likes play to win games with cheaper skins so they can buy lots of items for a decent amount of money. Games like Dirty Bomb got bad feedback for having characters bought with real money be $10 and no one really buys TF2 items other than keys because they cost way too much and there's cheaper alternatives to get them. I could see Ironsight's lifespan be greatly increased if the skins were at a more reasonable price.
-
I think you are mistaken. They have a price tag for 500 Chips, but when you click on the item, it will say "unavailable" and it will re-direct you to the lootbox.
Sorry I didn't notice that.
-
What I really hate is that the orange skins are locked to loot box only.
You guys are already selling expensive price skin, now you are forcing players who want orange tier skins and above to gamble for it.
You can buy orange skins, but they cost $50.
Imo the price isn't the only issue, the game looks stalled and the feeling i have is ironsight is going to nowhere. People won't spend much money if they don't trust the developers / publisher.
Wiple Games seems trust-able however Aeria Games is basically smaller scale, western Nexon. I'm hoping the devs get the game far enough to pull a Dirty Bomb style indie buyback.
Honestly I would buy skins if they were cheaper. Wanted that American flag m4, but who is going to pay like $75? Ik there are the two skin conditions but still. Why spend $50 on a skin in this, when I can just put $35 in dota and get so much more value for my money.
I completely agree with you $75 for a single skin is pretty outrageous.
Honestly you get more things from the GP crates then any other crate so I would stick to those.
I would but I'm saving for gold skins and I assume many other players are too. It's nice that one is able to buy GP crates but I and a good amount of others would like to be able to directly buy the Chip skins for a reasonable amount.

People who complain in a free2play game about skins that costs to much.. but the skins are the only thing you can buy and finance the complete game..
dude calm down. you don't need skins. and if you buy some, you support the game itself.
when no one buys the skins the game cannot be hold and goes offline.
but k. cry about "high" skin prices..

I know the skins are what keep the game alive that's why I'm suggesting making them cheaper so more people could buy them. $50 is about enough to buy most new AAA games. People can spend their money the way they want to however most people I've asked said they don't like the skin prices either and they would be more than happy to support the game if the skins were priced like other good F2P games.
Crates is the way to go to accumulate skins.
If the purchasable ones were cheaper, there would be no sense in buying crates / little sense.
Never had an issue with the crates in Ironsight, they are pretty good, if I were to ask. Not random scam gacha like in other games.
In addition the majority of skins can be purchased via Gold.
I understand what you're saying and completely agree with you. I should have said what I wanted the prices to be. I don't want to completely rule out loot boxes, I just want to make skins purchasable directly for a reasonable price like $10 or so.
It’s all about luck though, anyway I’m sorry if you didn’t get much. But nobody forces you to put money into it. Skins are purely cosmetically and doesn’t give you any advantage over other players. There are still many events coming where you can win something without paying anything!

Thank you for not making another generic F2P P2W game, I and many others enjoy how amazing the game is so for. I'm not being forced in any way to buy them because they are simply skins I'm proposing that the skins be cheaper so you have more people that are willing to buy them. As for the GP crates the rate of duplicates is really high and one only gets paid 50% of what the item's cost is if they were to get a dupe from a crate, other than that I like the GP crates.

Background
So a few hours ago I and some others guys in the in-game NA chat were talking about the new update and someone brought up the topic of the how much the skins costs with real money. Most skins range from 250-500 Chips, characters bought with Chips are 270, and Superior Crates are 120. To get buy Chips you have to pay for them with Aeria Points. To get those Aeria Points you either have to buy them or get them free via filling out surveys or downloading stuff from 3rd party companies and most the websites serve out malware so there's only one real choice, to buy them with real money. If you go to buy Aeria Points they offer extra AP for larger purchases with different purchasing methods, however, they only give you a noticeable discount if you purchase AP in very large amounts. In reality, $1 = 100 AP and 100 AP = 10 Chips and again while there are extra Chips if you buy in large amounts, in moderate amounts the extra Chips aren't really anything. So as I mentioned before most skins are 250-500 Chips thus making skins $25-$50 without the extra AP and or Chips. Not only that, but characters bought with Chips are $27 and loot boxes are $1.20 which for 1 item typically a duplicate or a cosmetic item you could have bought by playing 4 games seems really expensive. I've asked in the Discord about this 3 times with most people agreeing with me but the moderators or devs haven't said anything.
TL;DR
Weapon skins are either 250 or 500 Chips (500 Chip skins are only obtainable via Crates saying that the item is unavailable and redirecting you to the Superior Crates)
The weapons with special reload animations always require one 500 Chip skin, one 500 Chip Skin, and one 40,000 GP skin. For most players these skins will cost $75
Characters bought with Chips are 270 Chips
Superior Supply Crates are 12 Chips
100 Chips = 1000 Aeria Points
1000 Aeria Points = $10
Offering a single skin for anything above $10 seems outlandish
Mini-FAQ
Q: You can earn free Chips
A: As of this update I find myself only earning 0-6 Chips a day
Q: Do the 3rd party offers really have malware on them?
A: My antivirus (I'm using Malwarebytes) or my Google Chrome Privacy extensions block a good 90% of the websites that I've gone on the ones it didn't block seemed extremely sketchy as they asked for e-mail, full name, address, and sometimes even a credit card number also they mostly looked like the same site even though they were completely different offers
Q: Game is free/ The game is in beta/ You don't have to buy the skins
A:
Suggestions
I'm proposing that $25 skins be $10 and $50 skins be $20. The Crate prices range from each type so I'm only going to suggest that the Superior Supply Crates be $.80-$1 as $1.20 just seems like an odd price.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK PRICES ITEMS SHOULD BE (SPECIFICALLY ITEMS BOUGHT WITH CHIPS) AND PLEASE GIVE SOME INSIGHT INTO YOUR FEEDBACK.

We have players going 13/25 getting a Metal Reaper. Make it kill streak based or keep it score streak but when you die it resets. I love gunfights but i don't see much of that due to people mounting a robot and destructing everyone in the path. Especially with UAV. It's technically up every time due to the fact that 40% of the team usually runs Defensive Streaks then Offensive. That's just my opinion. I just hate getting pre-fired every time someone knows where i'll be because of UAV.
killstreaks create a snowball effect i.e. good players will keep getting rewarded and bad players will repeatedly be punished killstreaks would make it harder for worse players to come back even if they start picking up the slack, becoming as good or even better than the enemies because the enemies would already have better weapons at their disposal not to mention killstreaks encourge players to sit back and camp or use cheap tactics will taking no risks
also if you want to take down enemy drones pretty easily use the emp launcher or emp grenades they take down enemy drones in 1-2 hits and metal reapers can be destroyed in 4 knife hits

The hip fire shooting is way too accurate, like you mentioned in this thread. That itself desperately needs to be changed, as for everything else mentioned, I couldn't agree more, besides this statement of course:
"We really dont need bolt action snipers to one shot kill on the lower torso..... I understand why people complain about snipers and yes it is a pain in the ape's crack man....."Sniping definitely takes a higher level of skill, well, most of the time.. I've noticed a lot of snipers just sit back in their little houses and hardscope, which is pretty lame. However, for people like me that run around and quickscope the entirety of the game, something like this would make it very unbalanced and unfair, as by the time I miss a shot I die to said people I try to shoot regardless.
Something has to change, but for a beta version of the game, all seems to be smooth and very well developed.
Display MoreSo i made a feedback a few weeks ago talking about things that can be fixed, but in this topic i wanna point out a few things that make this game unplayable for people even if they are decent players (nd by decent i dont mean the whole "10 kd meme").........
1. FPS games are all about reaction and presicion right? And thats how it should be right? Well not for ironsight's case unfortunately..... where do i start? the minimap on the top left shows glimpses of enemies' last position, but the problem is that it shows glimpses for both sides whether you are standing still or moving (and that without any uav recon), then people end up predicting you as if they have wallhacks and prefiring your forehead..... I MEAN f*** me man.... if you wanted to make a wallhack simulator, then you should name the game "Wallhack Simulator" ...... People like to proceed to call you a noob (i was quite decent back in the days of call of duty), but in this game the experience is unplayable when you end up being killed by god holding an intervention and shooting you from the other side of the milky way galaxy...... SOOOOO.... Can we make it so that it shows glimpses when people are standing still and not when moving? Call of duty did it really nice and thats why it forced you to be fast and precise with your shots....... The footsteps are way too loud even without Long Ears....
The hipfire is too good, no need to explain that.....
2. Can we nerf some mechanics of the game? Lets start from jumpshots....... why is there no accuracy penalty and sway when you jump? same thing warface did so that when you jump your gun goes out of center..... good mechanic and it had success.........
Dropshooting.... you shouldnt even be allowed to shoot when going prone to be fair.... but an accuracy penalty on this would make people play this f****** game properly... i mean if you like to jump , just go to the f****** circus mate...... this aint a circus this is a game and some people treat it like they are hunting a human who holds a cancer curing drug
or a life changing achievement.... And camping, seriously can anyone who camps die instantly? or receive passive damage? something man
3. Lets talk about guns a little....... Assault rifles are fairly balanced, excluding the famas which melts because of its high ROF, or scar that is a 3 shot kill when every other gun is a 4 shot kill (doesnt make any f****** sense) ..... Somehow the smg category is a complete trainwreck..... every smg feels weak , except from the godly ar 57 (seriously why is this gun used by everyone?) Either nerf the ar57 or buff the rest........? Look i know the game takes inspiration from Call Of Duty, BUT lets not have a game that plays and feels like COD alright? you know , that narrative where people use OP guns and OP guns ONLY and never have any variety in their shitty gamestyle (you guys remember the mp7 from MW3? yeah i dont want to remind me that).
We really dont need bolt action snipers to one shot kill on the lower torso..... I understand why people complain about snipers and yes it is a pain in the ape's crack man.....
LMGs are so not interesting..... i dont get why though........ and as for secondaries ill leave it up to you guys i barely use them xD
You guys need to start bringing patches that fix issues in the open beta even if it is minor fixes....... just to make the open beta more enjoyable yes?
if the game keeps going at this pace it will die and it has such a promise.......
in a fast paced arena shooter aiming down sights when in cqb is just tedious it makes no sense for an arcade style game like this to have ads needed in closer than mid right
