CPU was a mistake; should have gone for a Ryzen 1600X instead (Requiring Windows 10 was a stupid move from AMD, though). Noticeable stuttering in some games even with a very stable overclock and only 4 cores causes lag issues with Google Chrome / Adobe Photoshop CS6 / Adobe Illustrator.

wait what... ryzen requires windows 10? öo explain that oo

The Ryzen series will not run properly on anything below Windows 10. I was building a computer for a friend that was using a Ryzen 1600. After installing all drivers etc. I downloaded PUBG to test the rig out and the game wouldn't even run. Many people have had a similar issue and after installing Windows 10 everything worked fine. There are ways to run a Ryzen on operating systems below Windows 10 but it requires a lot of fiddling around and tweaking, which is just absurd. As I'm running Windows 8.1 without any updates, and will continue to do so until they push out a decent, privacy-respecting OS, the lack of updates does not bother me, but it might be a huge issue for other customers. Keep in mind that lots of this might have changed as I haven't been keeping up with news on the chipset.
